Sports Betting Rules

Scope and Definitions

The following Sports Betting Rules govern all sports betting products offered by Goawin. By placing a bet, you agree to be bound by these rules and any supplementary sport specific rules Goawin publishes. Where a result source is described as official, Goawin relies on the official publication from the relevant governing body or its designated authority. Goawin reserves the right to determine settlement on a bet-by-bet basis where rules do not address a specific scenario.

General Bet Acceptance and Settlement Principles

  • Official results govern settlement. If an official result is not published, Goawin may settle using common, non-official data sources at its discretion until the official result becomes available.
  • Price accuracy. If a market is published with an incorrect price or information, Goawin reserves the right to void or correct the market and settle accordingly.
  • Interdependent outcomes. If outcomes are related but not treated as such by the system, Goawin may void the affected bets.
  • Fraud and integrity. Goawin may suspend settlement and/or void bets and withhold payment pending investigation where there are concerns of fraud or integrity in an event.
  • Bet modification. Customers cannot cancel or alter a bet once placed and confirmed. Goawin may correct or resettle bets within a reasonable period after discovery of an error or discrepancy (generally within 48 hours).
  • Market timing. All markets are settled for regular time unless the market or sport rule states otherwise. If an event is abandoned, delayed, or the format deviates significantly, Goawin may void affected markets.
  • Settlement delays. If a bet is not verifiable at the time of settlement, Goawin may delay settlement until verification is complete. Bets and payouts may be subject to withholding pending confirmation by the relevant authority.
  • Decimal odds. All settlements are done using decimal odds, irrespective of the odds format selected by the customer.
  • Discretionary decisions. Goawin reserves the right to make a decision on any bet not expressly covered by these rules as circumstances warrant.
  • Rule amendments. Sporting rules may be amended from time to time and will be published online. The English version governs in the event of any discrepancy.

Result Sources and Data Integrity

Goawin will base settlement on results published by official governing bodies whenever possible. If official data is unavailable, Goawin may rely on independent, verifiable data sources. Goawin does not rely on in-play video, scoreboards, or live feeds for settlement, except as a guide in exceptional circumstances described in these rules.

Outright and Special Markets

Outright markets (season-long or event-long winners) are settled based on the final official result for all listed selections. Non-participating selections are treated as losses. If two or more participants are tied on a single-position outcome, dead-heat rules apply unless the market states otherwise. In a dead heat, the stake is divided among winners according to the number of tied selections and settled at the corresponding odds, with the remaining stake treated as a loss.

Live and In-Play Betting

In-play bets are settled based on official results published during the relevant phase of play. If a significant event occurs that changes the course of a market, Goawin may void or resettle affected bets when the final official decision is announced. Bets on markets dependent on events that are not completed or are suspended for a prolonged period may be voided if not resolved within the applicable timeframes published for the sport.

Sports-Specific Rules

Soccer (Football)

  • General markets are settled based on the official result at the end of regular time. Extra time and penalties do not count unless the market explicitly states otherwise.
  • VAR decisions and significant officiating events may lead to voiding or adjustment of bets from the time of the event until the final official decision is announced.
  • First goalscorer and other player markets may be voided if a listed player does not participate. If the match is not completed within a reasonable time, unsettled markets may be voided after a defined review period.

American Football

  • Regular time results determine settlement unless the market specifies overtime. Overtime may count only if the market states so.
  • A minimum portion of the game must be completed for market settlement; if the event is postponed or abandoned and not resumed within the defined window, bets may be voided.
  • Markets involving team statistics or individual player statistics settle on official official statistics; players who do not participate render related markets void.

Athletics

  • Settlement follows the official results. Outright selections are treated as runners and losers if not participating. Disqualifications render the selection a loss. Abandoned events with no official winner are void. Dead heat rules apply where applicable.

Australian Rules Football

  • Markets settle on the official result at the end of the scheduled time specified for the match, including any injury or stoppage time but excluding extra time unless stated.
  • If a fixture is postponed or abandoned and not resumed within 48 hours, bets are void unless an official winner is declared.
  • Half and quarter markets refer to the corresponding periods within the match. Dead-heat rules apply where stated.

Badminton

  • Settlement follows the official governing body’s result. If live coverage is lost and no result is published, undecided markets are void.
  • Postponed or abandoned events are void if not resumed within 48 hours unless an official winner is declared.

Horse Racing

  • General bets on racing are settled on a double-result basis unless otherwise stated. First-past-the-post and official results differ when weigh-in adjustments or stewards inquiries occur; Goawin’s policy is designed to be customer-friendly where possible, but official rules prevail.
  • Exceptions where results prior to weigh-in may grant concession are limited to defined markets and will be explicitly stated in market terms.

Disputes, Corrections, and Compliance

Goawin will not be bound by any unofficial or unauthorised data source. In the event of a discrepancy between the live feed and official results, the official result governs settlement. Any disputes should be raised through Goawin’s customer care channel within a reasonable period after the result is published. Goawin’s decision on all settlements and interpretations of these rules is final and binding.

Amendments and Language

Goawin may amend these rules at any time. The English version is the official version. Any material changes will be published on the Goawin platform and take effect upon posting unless explicitly stated otherwise.
